      Dear family of Jan Valach, I'm so sad to hear that Jan has passed away! I will miss him and so will you! My condolances!
      I'm so glad I visited him on September 23rd - the day after his birthday. We had a lovely time together: after spending an hour or so in his room we went together downstairs to the chapel where he sat at his organ. I had brought the book of his version of Bach's Jesus Bleibet Meine Freude. He played and I sang! It was so good!!!

      I actually got a close bond with him and Blanca because as part of my study at the Music school in Deinze I wrote his biography! So I spent a lot of time together with them to write down everything. If you are interested, I can print it out for you. It is in Dutch, but can ofcourse be translated.I'm also a member of the Lutheran Church in Antwerpen. Once he said,"You are our daughter!" Because I was born in September 1952, the month when he and Blanca got married!
