"Dirty Dancing", "Ghost" ou encore "Point Break": trois films majeurs de la filmographie de Patrick Swayze, l'acteur américain décédé après une longue bataille contre un cancer du pancréas.
Patrick Swayze avait annoncé en mars 2008 qu'il souffrait d'une forme avancée du cancer du pancréas. Il avait été hospitalisé en janvier pour une pneumonie et démenti en mars une aggravation de son état de santé. Le cancer du pancréas est l'un des cancers les plus meurtriers avec seulement un malade sur dix survivant, cinq ans après le diagnostic. En outre, il se répand rapidement aux autres organes, ce qui, dans de nombreux cas, le rend inopérable.
Patrick Swayze a tourné une série de films au grand succès populaire au tournant des années 1980 et 1990. Né en 1952 au Texas, élu en 1991 "homme en vie le plus sexy" par le magazine People, ce fils d'une chorégraphe a étudié la danse pendant sa jeunesse, avant de débuter au grand écran en 1979 dans "Skatetown, USA", un film musical dans la veine de "Saturday night fever".
Après plusieurs années dans des séries et des téléfilms, il acquiert une gloire instantanée en 1987 grâce à la comédie musicale "Dirty Dancing", où il incarne un professeur de danse. Il écrit et chante aussi une des chansons emblématiques de ce long métrage au succès mondial, "She's like the wind".
Mais c'est avec c'est surtout avec "Ghost", en 1990, qu'il devient une star planétaire et de sex-symbol. La mythique scène de poterie avec Demi Moore n'y est pas pour rien.
C'est à cette époque également qu'il tourne "Point Break", le film avec Keanu Reeves sur l'univers du surf et source d'inspiration de "Brice de Nice"...

Innige deelneming aan Patrick zijn vrouw ,familie en allen die hem lief hadden .hij was een fantastisch acteur .Dit overlijden treft mij diep omdat het mijn lievelingsacteur is.De film ghost waar hij in speelt zal nu voor velen waarheid worden.

My boyfriend found out he had pancreascancer, the week before Patrick had discovered his terrible tumor. He passed away in februar 2007. We had so little time. I still miss him very much but I try to make the most of it.
My thoughts are with his dear wife Lisa, family and friends. Much strength in these difficult times and years.

Een mooie aantrekkelijke acteur is een ster geworden ,hoog aan de hemel .Zoals in de film Ghost heeft het mij en vele anderen verdriet gedaan .Langs deze weg wil ik zijn echtgenote en familie heel veel sterkte toe wensen .Forever Patrick Swayze .
